For far too long, the District of Sterling has been underrepresented on the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors. Our Fire & Rescue Station, Community Center and Library are out of date and have been in need of vast improvements for decades. Not only has Sterling been neglected, but in many cases, those who have been elected to represent our interests have been actively preventing the county from making the necessary improvements. The people passed a bond over 7 years ago to make the necessary improvements, and Sterling’s current representatives used loopholes to shift those funds to other parts of the county in order to serve special interests.
Koran will always put the people of Sterling first. He sees what Sterling is missing and will do what it takes to get the job done. As Supervisor, Koran will ensure that the Sterling District has the same kind of state-of-the-art facilities, with comparable out-of-pocket costs for Sterling residents, as can be found in the rest of Loudoun. He will be proactive in addressing matters such as potholes, snow removal, and blight. Koran will represent Sterling with pride, and that will be reflected by how our community looks and functions.
